Our Pastoral team is dedicated to meet the needs of our community below are some of our ministries
Visitation Ministry
Prayer Partners are eager to share the Word of God concerning health and healing and are equipped to pray in faith for members of our church family in their time of need. Call our Care Ministry Director to inform us of an anticipated or unexpected hospital stay.
Godly Counsel
At The Horizon Church, it is our desire that all church partners receive the care and attention they need when facing personal trials. We offer counseling through the Pastoral Ministries Department for all tithing partners of the church. All counseling sessions are for Biblical guidance only. No professional services in behavioral health are provided. We will refer counselees to Christian counseling agencies when deemed necessary.
In order to receive counsel from the the pastoral staff, a Counseling Request Form must be filled out and turned in to the Pastoral Ministries Department. These forms are available at the Guest Services Desk in the church lobby. Once the form is reviewed and approved, an appointment will be scheduled.
If a church member is in a serious crisis or in need of immediate assistance, an appointment can be made by calling the Church office 386-253-2484 or the prayer chain.
Baby Dedication
The arrival of a new baby is a joyous occasion for the whole family. By offering special dedication ceremonies every three to four months, Horizon helps parents, family members, and friends celebrate this special occasion in a way they will always remember. These events typically take place on Sunday mornings, and they give parents the opportunity to introduce their little one to the church while also publicly accepting the God-given responsibility to parent according to godly principles.

Weddings
The marriage ceremony is one of the most sacred and beautiful services offered by the local church. We offer our facilities for wedding ceremonies if our guidelines for marriage are met. Please contact the church office for more information 386-253-2484

A Step of Obedience

Helping men connect to one another and to God
The Men’s ministry at Horizon Church exists to unite and equip men to pursue life with God. Through teaching, monthly events, and small groups men are able to see how to be a “Difference Maker” in the world around them.
Our Desire is to live as if we are in the last days and our King Jesus Christ is calling us to join him for the battles. We desire to be transformed, sanctified, and prepared for all that God has for us. We desire to live the glorious life and purpose for which we were created.
"God chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn with many brothers..." (Rom. 8:29). Jesus says, "Anyone who does God's will is my brother." (Mark 3:35) "So now Jesus and the ones he makes holy have the same Father. That is why Jesus is not ashamed to call them his brothers." (Heb. 2:11)
Helping women connect to one another and to God

To grow in discipleship to Christ, in relationship to one another, and in service to those around us.
Our Focus
The scriptures in Titus 2 encourage women to find help from one another in order to successfully walk out relationships and responsibilities, and to grow in Christ-like character. Because God makes so much available to us through this woman-to-woman dynamic, our ministry focus is on creating and building these relationships with one another. Through mutual care, encouragement, accountability and instruction, we believe that we can grow, not simply for ourselves, but to become more committed to Christ and genuine servants to our families, the Church and the lost world that God loves. With this in mind, Women of Grace provides many means of connecting with other women through both on-going programs and special one-time events throughout the year.
Learning, loving, and sharing with all God's children
Considered one of the most important departments of the church, special attention is given to the Nursery in the area of cleanliness and safety. These tiniest members of our Church are cared for by some of the most dedicated people in our congregation. Our Nursery staff members are committed to ministering to your babies and toddlers' physical as well as spiritual needs in a spotless yet playful & happy environment.
Our Preschool department is available on Sunday Mornings during the main services. During our time we teach through crafts, Bible stories, puppets, and group interaction. Shining Stars is a great way to plant the seed of Jesus in your child's life. It is our goal to provide each child a loving, caring, and fun atmosphere where they can enjoy age appropriate learning about God's love and His plan for their life.

Designed for grades First through Fifth
Each weekend your child can be part of an exciting and active environment filled with songs, drama, games, music, storytelling, and lovable characters that teach Godly values at an age-appropriate level. This experience is the highlight of many kids week! Our weekend services meet at the same time as adult services, and are designed for all children from First through Fifth grade. So while you are experiencing the creative, life-changing worship of Horizon Church, your children are experiencing it as well!
Designed for grades 6th through 12th
Wisdom is golden
The 60+ group is essential to our church family. You will not get “lost in the crowd” at Horizon Church. Our prime timers are using their retirement years to meet the needs of our world around us. This group is truly for those in the PRIME of their life! They have a monthly prayer luncheon after which they serve in the church and community. They also have a wonderful outings, dinners, and events throughout the year and not to mention reserved parking by the front door.
